Vcarve Pro is easy to use CAM toolpathing software geared towards 2D router work
Please follow these specific instructions to download the version of VCarvePro trial that is compatible with mHUB's maker space license.
- Download version 11.0 of VCarvePro Trial here: https://storage.vectric.com/VCarveProTrialEditionV11_SetupENU.exe
We do not have a link for downloading the proper version of VCarvePro that matches our Makerspace V11.016. We will post the correct installer link and instructions when we receive them from the developer. (3/12/2024) In the mean time, see the shop staff for work-arounds.
- Once installed, enter the mHUB maker space key by using the Help menu.
Help-> About VcarvePro Trial Edition -> Enter Makerspace ID

- Any work you do before entering the maker space code may not be usable on our equipment, so enter the maker space code first.
- Do not install the latest Trial version, 11.5, it is not supported by our maker space license.
If you choose to purchase a license, you can disregard the maker space code. Your files will be compatible with the VCarvePro software installed on our computers, and you can create toolpaths on any computer where you have your licensed software installed.
Think of VCarve Pro as a tool for signmakers and woodworkers. It is mainly 2D, or 2.5D. It has basic drawing ability and good toolpath ability. Turn to Fusion 360 for very good 3D modeling tools and excellent tool pathing tools. F360 does have a steeper learning curve.
Find the vCarvePro tool file (.tools) with our standard setup in our six tool changers on the equipment page. Your project can utilize any bits you see fit, but you will save time and trouble if you use the standard bits that are set up in the machine. In the software, you will import this set of six tools into the tool library.
