Thank you to those who joined us for our 2nd Annual Fourth Revolution Awards. The event saw over 300 attendees gathered to recognize corporate leaders, product developers, and small manufacturers. Your continued support of the region’s innovation in physical product development shows the power of this community. The ceremony culminated in the presentation of eight awards to deserving leaders, companies, and industrial initiatives that have made significant contributions to the Chicago region's manufacturing ecosystem. All event sponsorship and proceeds supported mHUB and DMDII's programmatic initiatives including education, diversity and inclusion, outreach to small manufacturers, and scholarships.

The Fourth Industrial Revolution fuses physical product development with digital processes to impact all disciplines, economies and industries, and even challenges ideas about what it means to be human. Central to this revolution are emerging technology breakthroughs in fields such as the Internet of Things, autonomous vehicles, 3D printing, robotics, and artificial intelligence. It is a technological revolution that will fundamentally alter the way we live, work, and relate to one another. In its scale, scope, and complexity, the transformation will be unlike anything humankind has experienced before.
