The mHUB MedTech Startup Pitch Competition is designed to support under-represented female founders and entrepreneurs of color in the health and medical technology space by showcasing their cutting-edge hardtech startups and connecting them with investors and industry leaders.
This pitch competition, taking place virtually on Thursday, August 5th, 2021, between 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. Central Standard Time, will feature five finalists pitching their innovations in medical device technology.

This interactive class will teach startups and contractors how to build their online brand to attract customers, partners, networks, and followers of their startup or business. Led by Global Accounts Manager of LinkedIn, Eric Bloomberg, this session will give you industry tips and tricks to ensure pipeline-building success.
Mastering Your Market: Market Research and Customer Discovery
Understanding your market and your customer is vital to securing your company’s competitive edge. Led by Michael Kersey of American Lawn Mower, this class will explain the importance of market research/industry analysis and how they can inform your product development and cover best practices for outsourced and DIY’d research. Then, the conversation will shift to customer discovery and how to find and secure customer validation.
Product Development Roadmap
Learn the necessary steps to take your prototype to commercialized product. A product roadmap helps you forecast the specifics of when and how to build product features and increase customer satisfaction. This class is taught by Steve McPhilliamy of Nemera.
