The virtual event on October 28th will celebrate and convene influential women making a tremendous impact in the manufacturing industry, and empower young women interested in STEM fields to discover new career paths and support their growth in these fields.

This year, mHUB is featuring Jennifer Scanlon, President and CEO of UL Inc, who will sit down with mHUB Director of Community Impact and Engagement Shannon McGhee to share her career journey, discuss the biggest challenges throughout, and her vision for the future of women in the field. Jennifer F. Scanlon is president and chief executive officer of UL. Jenny works to advance UL’s scientific and regulatory leadership with the ambition of serving as its customers’ most trusted safety, security and sustainability partner.
Scanlon’s deep commitment to science, technology, engineering and math shape her approach to innovation. She is a fierce advocate for STEM education and the benefits of diversity and inclusion. A director of Norfolk Southern Corporation, she serves as board of trustees of Notre Dame, chair of the Commercial Club of Chicago and vice chair of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs. She holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame.
