Henry Africano

Shop Technician

Henry Africano, shop technician, helps manage our equipment and trains members on its safe use. He is a mechanical engineer with a degree from the University of Illinois and Urbana-Champaign. In addition to keeping up with latest technology, Henry understands the personal drive to build and create. Using his broad knowledge in 3D design, printing, injection molding feasibility, embedded controls and other IoT related technologies, he advises members on the best available technology and software to improve their prototypes and products. Henry enjoys big laughs, dogs, snow skiing, and anything with an engine. He also provides mechanical engineering consulting, design, prototyping and fabrication services and is a talented photographer.
